Manasalu Trek- 15 Days Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

On the first day of an itinerary you will inward in Nepal via Tribhuvan International Airport. In the airport you will be welcomed by the representative staff from Well Adventure Tours who then transfer you to hotel. Then we will conduct the pre-trip meeting with your trekking guide so that you can share your queries about trekking in Manaslu Trekking region. In the evening you can walk around Thamel, one of the vibrant tourists spot in Kathmandu.

Day 02

Drive to Machha Khola from Kathmandu via Soti Khola

Today after breakfast we will begin our drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola via Aarughat and Soti Khola in a private vehicle. Some parts of road is concrete paved while others are off-roads so we will provide a private 4WD vehicle with an experienced driver for your optimum safety and comfort.

Day 03

Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat

After having breakfast, we will begin treks to Jagat through Korlabeshi, Tatopani, and we will be walking alongside of Budhi Gandaki River and reach at Dovan after few hours of trek and will stop for Lunch. Then, we will continue towards Thulo Dhunga and Yaruphat on the way passing through traditional Gurung and Magar villages witnessing their traditions and lifestyle. Afterwards, the trail ascends towards higher elevations, we will arrive at the entrance of MCAP checkpoint to present permits after few hours and reach Jagat, a picturesque mountain village signifying the Tibetan Buddhist culture.

Day 04

Trek from Jagat to Deng

Today from Jagat you will cross the West bank of the Budhi Gandaki and soar up a fold following the River easily climbing to the village of Jagat. Moving downhill to Sirdibas you will assemble further suspension bridge which leads to the East bank giving a very tiring ascend up to Philim. Philim is a prosperous Gurung village; the Chholing Sandu Gompa is bounded by the lowland of maize and millet. Passing on the pinnacle of eye-catching gorge and incoming the mostly unoccupied area of pine trees earlier to go down to a trail junction at New Bridge, you will follow the trail towards the left to Ghap. From Budhi Gandaki you will enter into it’s constrict gorge on an up-and-down trail with river passing. After a suspension bridge the trail enters bamboo forest and go up to the village of Deng.

Day 05

Trek from Deng to Namrung

After having breakfast, we will begin our trek a bit long compared to previous day. On the way there comes a bridge which ought to be crossed, to pass the river where it goes downward to a ravine after which the forest thins and the trail becomes so easier. Then, it goes up through the bamboo tree and the forest of Rhododendron and the hydro electric plant to Namrung. 

Day 06

Trek from Namrung to Lho

After breakfast, we will begin towards Lihi where you will witness the lovely view of homes with pine shingles covering their roofs, and surrounding Ganesh Himal and Gompa. Then following the trail, we will arrive at Sho village from Lihi and Lamagaon, crossing the Hinan River originating from Linda Glacier. Finally we will reach Lho village which is our overnight place of stay for today.

Day 07

Trek from Lho to Samagaon

We will begin our trek to Samagaon after a two hour hike to Shyala passing through a lovely pine forest, beautiful mountain ranges, including Simnang Himal, Ngadi Chuli, Manaslu, Manaslu North can be seen from Shyala, continuing the trail, we will reach Samagaon which is formulated with the two rows of houses. On top of the far end of the village, you will overlook the valley positioning the Kargyu Chholing Monastery. 

Day 08

Acclimatization day at Samagaon

We stay for acclimatization at Samagaon today and explore around, learn about traditional yak herding and wool spinning, interact with the locals. We can either expore Pungyen Gompa and Birendra Taal or hike to Manaslu base camp (4,895m) and back to Samagaon and be prepared for the treks on the following day.

Day 09

Trek from Samagaon to Samdo

Today you will move to Samdo taking breakfast in an early morning. Samdo is the community of a group of people whose houses are to be found at the back of an edge. In the afternoon you will stroll for the standpoint on the Pana Danda. You can even go to Samdo Peak, the Northeast which presents the finest views of Manaslu.

Day 10

Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala

After breakfast, today you have to trek nearly 4 to 5 hours all the way to Dharamsala. Trekking in Dharamsala is the breathtaking thought providing the vision of Mountain which is covered with white snow. The passageway is a small bit rough and tricky yet when you get to at Dharamsala, the sense of exhausted takes away. Dharmasala is also called as Larke Phedi serves as a resting spot for the challenging trek ahead.

Day 11

Trek from Dharmasala to Bimthang via Larkya La Pass

Bimthang with an elevation of 3,590m is situated below the Dharamsala, and you will trek to Bimtang on this day of itinerary. Bimtang is an extensive valley with an ample numbers of stone walls and abandoned houses. Trekking in the Bimtang is not a trouble-free trek as it requires 8 to 9 hours of trekking so, you will trek early in the morning to escape the chilly winds that might blow throughout the day at high altitudes and the trail is mostly rockey. We climb to the Larkye La Pass (5,160m) and descend slowly and steadily. On the way you can view many mountain ranges.

Day 12

Trek from Bimthang to Goa

Today you will head towards Goa from Bimthang, the trek will be relaxing and the journey begins with the view of paddy fields, lush forests, terraced hillsides, beautiful villages, Yak Kharka. Majestic mountains alongwith towering peaks and glaciers ca be seen on the way to Goa. The trail decends through pine and rhododendron forests offering the serene escape.

Day 13

Trek from Goa to Dharapani

Today you will go after the vertical trail moving downhill all through forest and thus you will move to Marsyandi valley. Passing suspension bridge you will head to Dharapani from where you can mark closing stages of Manaslu. Upon arrival at Dharapani, you can feel relaxed and explore the village refreshing yourself after the long trekking.

Day 14

Drive to Kathmandu from Dharapani via Beshisahar

Today you will drive towards Kathmandu firstly from Dharapani to Beshisahar on the off road for 3-4 hrs and then Beshisahar to Kathmandu for about 5-6 hrs depending on road and traffic conditions. Upon arrival at Kathmandu we will complete our memorable trekking journey on Manaslu region and will have special farewell dinner.

Day 15

Transfer to TIA for final departure

This is the day to say good bye as you will depart from us accomplishing the Manaslu Trek with Well Adventure Tours. Thus, our representative staff will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu from where you will return your home town.
