Nepal remains safe for visitors in 2025, with low violent crime rates but petty theft risks in tourist hubs like Thamel; solo trekking now requires a licensed guide in key areas such as Everest and Annapurna. Road travel can be hazardous due to narrow paths—opt for tourist buses or flights—and recent protests have not impacted tourist zones.
