Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek - 09 Days Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in TIA, Kathmandu (1,350m)

On the first day of an itinerary you will inward in Nepal via Tribhuvan International Airport. In the airport you will be welcomed by the representative staff from Well Adventure Tours who then transfer you to hotel. In the hotel we will discuss on detail itineraries so that we can modify or changes the plans as per your convenience. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 02

Drive to Pokhara.

ur trekking staff will pick you up from your hotel at 6:30 am and escort you to the tourist bus station. The bus departs around 7:00 am for Pokhara, offering picturesque views throughout the journey. As you travel, you’ll enjoy stunning landscapes of winding rivers, terraced hills, and rural settlements—an inspiring preview of the natural beauty of the Annapurna region.

Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most scenic cities, is renowned for its breathtaking Himalayan panorama. To the north, you can admire Annapurna and Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain), while Dhaulagiri rises majestically in the west. To the east, the peaks of Lamjung Himal and Manaslu complete this spectacular mountain vista.

Day 03

Drive to Birethanti 1.5 hour and trek to Ulleri.

Our journey begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara in a private vehicle. After approximately two hours, we arrive at Birethanti (1,039 m / 3,409 ft), where we can stretch our legs and prepare for the trek ahead. We stop for a relaxing lunch at one of the charming teahouses in Hile (1,495 m / 4,905 ft). Hile is a quaint hillside village with a lively atmosphere and a selection of local shops. Today, however, its true appeal lies in its welcoming teahouses—ideal for enjoying a hearty meal and a steaming cup of tea before continuing onward.

Following our refreshing break, we begin a short uphill hike to Ulleri, a large and traditional Magar village. This initial walk is designed to gently ease you into the rhythm of trekking while showcasing the natural beauty of Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes.

Day 04

Trek to Ghorepani.

The morning begins with a steep uphill climb along stone steps, taking an hour or more to reach the top of Ulleri village. Ulleri is a moderately sized settlement featuring traditional Nepalese houses with distinctive slate roofs. From here, the trail continues with a gentle and gradual ascent through enchanting forests of rhododendron and pine, offering cool shade and a peaceful atmosphere.

As we progress, we arrive at Ghorepani village, beautifully situated on a ridge and surrounded by vibrant rhododendron trees. The village is primarily inhabited by the Poon people of the Magar community and is well known as the gateway to Poon Hill, a famous viewpoint reached by an additional one-hour climb.

Day 05

Hike up Poon hill and trek to Tadapani.

Day 06

Trek to Ghandruk.

We leave the beautiful village of Tadapani and head toward the popular and vibrant village of Ghandruk. The trail is relatively easy, descending gradually through Bhaisikharka, a charming settlement along the route.

Ghandruk is one of the most beautiful and culturally rich villages in the region, offering stunning mountain views set against picturesque landscapes. Here, you can explore traditional Gurung culture, visit the Gurung Museum, and wander through the authentic stone-paved lanes of this historic village. we will stay overnight at in guesthouse.

Day 07

Trek to Syaulibazar and drive back to Pokhara.

The trek concludes with a final panoramic sunrise view of the majestic Himalayas from Ghandruk, creating a lasting memory of your journey in the Annapurna region.

After this spectacular finale, we begin a scenic 3–4 hour drive back to the lively lakeside town of Pokhara. Upon arrival, the afternoon is free for you to relax and celebrate the successful completion of your trek.

Take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque shores of Phewa Lake, enjoy the refreshing mountain air, and soak in the vibrant lakeside atmosphere. You may also choose to sample local delicacies at nearby restaurants or browse the lakeside shops for unique souvenirs to remember your adventure.

Day 08

Drive back to Kathmandu by Tourist bus.

In the morning, we drive back to Kathmandu. In the evening, we host a farewell dinner at a fine restaurant, where your guide(s) and a member of our office staff will join you to celebrate the successful completion of your journey.

Departure!!

Our airport representative will drop you at the international airport in Kathmandu for your flight departure from Nepal.
