Everest Base Camp Trek - 14 Days Itinerary
Arrive in Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu (1,324m)
On the first day of an itinerary you will inward in Nepal via Tribhuvan International Airport. In the airport you will be welcomed by the representative staff from Well Adventure Tours who then will assist in transferring to the hotel by our private vehicle. Pre-trip meeting will be held with your trip guide and you can ask your questions and concerns about your trekking adventure.
Fly to Lukla (2,860m) and trek to Phakding (2,610m)
Today you will either fly to Lukla from Kathmandu or drive to Manthali and fly to Lukla from Manthali depending on seasons. Flight to Lukla normally operates from Manthali airport on peak seasons and operates from Kathmandu airport on nonpeak seasons and it is solely depends on the airline company and they schedule flights as per the volume of travellers on the specific months due to the traffic congestion in Kathmandu airport on the peak season. Upon arrival at Lukla airport, you will begin the trek through the trails of Cheplung and gradually ascending towards Thadokoshi.
Enroute to the charming Phakding village, you will witness breathtaking snowcapped peaks and continue along the serene Dudhkoshi river before we arrive at beautiful Phakding village for our overnight stay.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Trek begins with uphill along the DudhKoshi River after breakfast and the trekking trail offers views of waterfalls, forests, and prayer wheels. On the way, you can view Mt. Thamserku (6,623m). You will enter the Sagarmatha National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, from Monjo. The trail follows uphill path until you reach Namche Bazaar and it features multiple suspension bridges. After 2 hours of uphill trekking, you will arrive at Namche Bazaar, a famous modern mountain town which offers mountain tradition. You will view beautiful mountain from Namche Bazaar and enjoy a short walk around after checking in to your lodge.
Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Today is the acclimatization day and it is necessary to have rest day prior to carry out the superior elevation to avoid altitude sickness. After breakfast, you will hike uphill to the famous Everest View Hotel (3,880m). Everest View Hotel is to be found near to the landscape of Mount Everest from where you can enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and more. You can enjoy the stunning himalayan scenery with a cup of tea or coffee and study the Sherpa world, later back to Namche for Lunch and take rest.
Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)
After breakfast, trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche begins with gently uphill trail with breathtaking views of the Everest including other mountains. After arriving at Sanasa, the trekking trail decends through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests. You will cross the DudhKoshi river on the way and begin steady uphill trail through forested paths and arrive at Tengboche. You will explore around and visit Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region.
Trek to Dingboche (4,410m)
After breakfast, you will begin the trek with a short descend through rhododendron forests, crossing the suspension bridge over the Imja Khola and then begin a continuous ascend through open mountain valleys with stunning views of Ama Dablam. You will begin a slight uphill trail to reach the high-altitude mountain village, Dingboche. You can enjoy short evening walk in the area and take rest.
Acclimatization day (4,410m)
This is the second acclimatization day on the trek itinerary. After breakfast, you will hike to Nangkartshang Hill (5,083m) and enjoy incredible views of Island Peak, Ama Dablam, the Dingboche valley, and others. Then you will return to Dingboche and take a rest to prepare properly for higher altitudes in upcoming days.
Trek to Lobuche (4,910m)
Today you will begin the trekking to Lobuche with ascending certain elevation. On the way to Lobuche (4,310m), you will pass on iced up river in Thukla glacier and amount up the hill to observe the majestic views of the Cholatse, Lobuche, Nuptse and Pumori. Arrive in Lobuche by late afternoon and explore high altitude surroundings after checking into the guesthouse.
Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and then back to Gorak Shep (5,190m)
Starting the trek for most exciting day from Lobuche early in the morning after breakfast towards Gorak Shep, you will pass through rockey terrain and glacial paths. Arrive at GorakShep, check into the guesthouse and after the short break and light refreshment, continue your trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). You will spend your time at this remarkable spot with incredible surroundings to capture memories with Everest towering in the background, and return to GorakShep for overnight stay.
Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) and back to Pheriche (4,250m)
The day begins with the hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) early in the morning from GorakShep, where you will be pleased with 360 degree views of amazing mountains with sunrise. Then descend to GorakShep for breakfast and follow the trail down to Thukla on the way to Pheriche, a mountain village located in a wide valley with a stunning river and mountain views.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
After breakfast, you will begin descending trail through the open valley and pass Deboche before arriving in Tengboche from where the trail descends until Phunki. Begin uphill trail through forests reaching Sanasa, the trail then becomes easier and mostly flat al the way to Namche Bazaar.
Trek to Lukla (2,860m)
Today you will continue the trek taking downhill and passing DudhKoshi river strolling to Monjo for the National Park and then taking some time in Phakding enjoying the Lunch. Afterwards, you will take a trail follows to Lukla, arriving at Lukla you may enjoy with other trekkers and surroundings since this is the end of this trek.
Fly back to Kathmandu (1,324m)
From Lukla, you will board a morning flight to Kathmandu. Your guide will transfer you to the hotel and enjoy farewell dinner in the evening at a traditional Nepali restaurant, marking the end of your unforgettable Everest Base Camp Trek.
Transfer to TIA, Kathmandu for final departure
